DENR trounces NHA, AFP gets revenge against Judiciary

The rookie yet mighty DENR Warriors trounce the great NHA Builders in their first game in the semifinals.
The Warriors ended the game with a whopping 16-point lead against the Builders, 79-63.
Coming from a three-week break from the action, the Warriors proved that they’re a worthy opponent as they won every quarter of the game against the Builders.
However, the Builders plan to crush the Warriors momentum this semifinal round.
“Sabi ko sa kanila [Builders] we have to break the momentum of the DENR, we have to defend well and execute our offense well. So, kailangan naming maka-focus at ma-pressure ang DENR,” NHA Builders Coach Bennett Palad said.
Unfortunately, the Builders failed to execute their strategy this first game.
The Warriors score 19-19-22-19, while the Builders score 17-9-20-17 per quarter.
The best players in the game are Ralph Lansang and Ed Rivera.
Ralph Lansang scores 19 points, 10 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 steals; Ed Rivera scores 12 points, 13 rebounds, 6 assists, and 1 steal.
On the other game, the AFP Cavaliers destroyed the Judiciary Magis’ tough defense which the PITC Global Traders had trouble dealing with in the Quarterfinals.
Doubling efforts and not being complacent is the mindset of the Cavaliers.
“Dinoble namin yung efforts ng practice, for the past two seasons — kagaya ngayon — sila lang yung tumalo samin. So, sabi ko sa kanila [AFP Cavs] tingin ko medyo confident yung Judiciary satin kaya mag prepare tayo nang maayos,” AFP Cavaliers Coach Sonny Manucat expressed.
On the other hand, the Magis aims to double their defense by covering the gunner of the Cavaliers, while doubling efforts in their offense.
The game ends with a score of 79-74, in favor of the Cavs.
The Cavaliers took their revenge against the Magis, who defiled their clean record this season 8 with 1 loss.
The best players of the game are Ezer Rosopa and Romeo Almerol Jr.
Ezer Rosopa earned 12 points and 6 rebounds; Romeo Almerol Jr. got 11 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 assists.
