DA closes their last game with a win, Judiciary empties the PITC’s gunners

The Agriculture Food Masters suppresses the great NHA Builders to end the season with a win.

Sadly, the Food Masters won’t make it to the semifinals as they are one win away from it.

“Big achievement ito para sa amin dahil first time naming pumasok ng quarterfinals, this is our third season na rin so I’m happy with the result naman kaya lang we’re one game away to make it to the semifinals,” Agriculture Food Masters Coach Rodney Santos said.

The Food Masters got nothing to lose this match, and this motivates them to end Season 8 with at least a win against the NHA Builders.

On the other hand, the Builders are well prepared to be on par with what the Food Masters strength will be exhibiting.

“Every game lagi naming pinaghahandaan yung mga teams. Itong DA, may mga players silang alam mong hindi bibigay regardless ng situation nila ngayon. Kung anoman yung strength nila, papantayan namin in terms of intensity, so well prepared naman kami today.” —NHA Builders Asst. Coach John Gepila.

The match ends with the Food Masters achieving a closing win for this Season 8 against the Builders with a 4-point lead, 87-83.

Hailed as best players of the game were Henry Fernandez and Christian Dematera.

Henry Fernandez got 27 points, 3 rebounds, and 3 steals. Christian Dematera got 16 points.

On the other game, The PITC Global Traders lacks the trick of the trade to win against the Judiciary Magis.

The Magis toughens their defense to downplay any offensive tactics the Global Traders use.

“Pin-ractice namin yung press dahil magpe-press sila ngayon dahil knockout [match], isa pa ma-contain namin yung shooters nila siguro malaki tyansa namin,” Judiciary Magis Coach Joey Yabut expressed.

The Global Traders are ready to take on this do or die game as one of their gunners is back, Mark Lester Gecale, who was injured last two weeks.

Unfortunately, the Global Traders lost the game to the Magis with a 10-point deficit, 65-55. The boost in their lineup with their gunners is not enough as the Magis defense is impenetrable.

The best players of the game were Frederick Salamat and Warren Ybañez.

Frederick Salamat scored 16 points, 1 rebound, 1 assist, and 2 steals; Warren Ybañez earned 14 points, 4 rebounds, 6 assists, and 3 steals.
